All right, good morning everyone. Yeah, I'm Stuart, this is this is Myriam and we're going to talk a little bit more about, about AI and how that can help with research and finding customer intelligence or customer insights and seeing how we can use that not to remove the humans but to enable better research.
So we'll go through a little bit about who we are as well. And then some of the key challenges for Benio Group and the solutions that, that they found to help them with their key challenges. And then I'll try to go through a little bit about. Concretely, how the AI actually helps, so to give you some understanding, so if you're looking to go and try to find an AI solution to help you with your research work to find customer insights, then you have some kind of idea about what you might like to look for.
And then of course some Q& A at the end. But just quickly Who are we? I was almost going to say that I'm the only New Zealander probably at this conference, but then Annabelle just said that she was from New Zealand as well, so 10 percent of this room is from New Zealand, which is weird. And so Annabelle's living in Copenhagen, I'm located in Finland, so something weird, we want to go to cold countries, or colder countries and I don't have a reason why we would really want to go over there, but We have some weird people here now presenting to you.

Thanks Stuart, for this introduction. I'm Myriam Snaet and I'm from Belgium. And I have, I'm in fact the manager of the market and the consumer insights department of Beneo.
So what we are doing is to monitor markets, customers we're looking for trends. We are also conducting consumer research, but today we will focus a bit more on the customer insights and also following up on trends and Beneo. I think. Most probably it doesn't ring a bell because we are also a B2B company.
So what we are doing is we are selling functional ingredients to food, pet food, animal nutrition. And so what we really want, what is our statement, our mission statement, is to have better food. And better food is more tasty, but also more healthy. And we are in fact a global company. So we have seven offices, the main offices in Belgium and Germany, but we are working in more than 80 countries.
Sometimes it's really direct sales, but we work also with sales network partners that distribute our ingredients. We are now already more than 1, 000 employees and we are a member of the big Zutzucker Group, which is in fact the biggest sugar producer globally. What do we produce? We produce ingredients from natural sources.
So from chicory root, sugar beet, rice, wheat, faba bean, and then we produce a wide range of functional ingredients. So they improve the food. This can be vegetable proteins plant based texturizers, which are. very much into into the trend at the moment. Also replacers of sugar, for example, low glycemic sugars, also fibers, prebiotics.
So prebiotics are in fact fibers that stimulate the good bacteria that you have in your gut. It's a bit similar as probiotics where you ingest these bacteria. So you see a wide range of diverse benefits. And then also Our ingredients are used in many different applications, what we call, in bakeries, cereals, confectionery, meat, dairy, so in the food industry, and next to this, also in pet food, in animal nutrition, so a wide variety, I would say.
