Hi, my name is Douglas Smith. I'm from Uganda, and I run two social enterprises. One is called Sportrise and another one is called Peleyta Health.
Before I joined the Avant-guarde Entrepreneur Foundations, I felt like I was on a lonely journey, you know, building a social enterprise company or running social enterprise companies. So, when I had an opportunity to join, the Avant-guarde Entrepreneur Foundations, I felt like I was joining a space for field change makers, to share our
problems and what we are going through while running, uh, social enterprise companies. It was a huge opportunity for me, a huge boost for me, I can say. Yeah.
Oh my, A lot of things happened. I've met vibrant fellow, vibrant change makers. We shared, we shared problems. We shared what we were going through and provided solutions, you know, for those problems. And we learned from each other just as iron sharpens iron. It was the biggest thing that has happened to me in my life.
You know, I I shared a lot about. What I was going through, uh, while running my social enterprise company especially Sportrise and I felt a very huge relief. I felt like I'm not alone. I'm not alone going through my problems or I'm not alone having a, a huge hill to climb. But we really, it's the space gave me a, an opportunity to meet fellow, a change makers or social entrepreneurs, ones that are going through the same and that are bringing a huge impact in their communities.
The knowledge you acquire from AGE Foundations, oh my God, it is. It is the best knowledge you can acquire from anywhere else. I have acquired a lot of knowledge from AGE foundations I've met, I've connected with, fellow change makers or social entrepreneurs from across the world.
We've connected, we've shared knowledge. Oh my God, it's the best that you can go through.
