Here's what's new with Earmark for July, 2023.
My favorite new feature is the built-in Media Player. Here's how it works. I'm going to go to a recent episode of the Accounting Podcast. Tap on that episode. I see an option now for Earmark Player.
You can hear the audio playing directly in the Earmark app. This is the little Media Player at the bottom of the screen. I can expand it by tapping on the title. Now I've got a full Media Player. I've got rewind 30 seconds, fast forward 30 seconds. I can play. I can pause. And I can even scrub through the audio to find exactly where I want to be. And the best part is, if I close the Earmark app and go do something else, I can still control the audio just like Apple Podcasts or Spotify. It'll keep playing and I can continue whatever it is that I'm doing while I learn.
I hope you enjoy the Podcast Player. It's not available for every show yet, but we are slowly rolling this out across all of the courses that we add to Earmark, and soon it'll be available for every new course. We'd love to hear your feedback on the Media Player. Let me know what else you think we should do to improve this experience for you.
Light Mode is now the default for all new users. Just click the person icon in the upper right of the home screen to go to your profile. Then scroll down to Settings and click on Dark Theme. Now I'm in Dark Mode. Easy on the eyes.
If I wanna switch back because it's daytime, just go back to the profile and flip that switch again.
We've also improved channel sorting. Tap on the TV icon on your home screen to view the channels. Now, channels are sorted from top to bottom by the most recently updated. So the newest courses are always gonna be available at the top.
