Let's get technical kinda. I hate tech. But even if you're still stuck in the pen-and-paper/typewriter dark ages, you'll eventually have to go digital.
After choosing the software, optimize the format with the right page size, margins, font, indents, and paragraph spacing. And don't forget to choose your preference for straight or smart, curly quotes. And I implore you to choose right now to never use two spaces between sentences ever again. Just make everyone's life easier and single-space it. This is one instance where conforming is not compromising.
