And we alive. Oh, that was quick. We got on a really quick this time. Anyone friends, this is Ernie with 0-dte.com podcasts.
So today we're going to talk about a subject that is very, very interest. I personally love this topic and I feel like I've been a pioneer in the the analysis of this particular tool. I know that at least on the internet with those folks and those traders, particularly in the crypto community, I was one of the, oh I think I was the first one to really apply it to crypto.
And also apply it to other asset classes. In fact, this particular tool. And of course I'm talking about volume profile. It really doesn't matter what tool, what asset class, or what timeframe that you use it with. It works with everything. And there's a very good reason for that, a lot of people will have affinity towards, one indicator or another, whether it's the RSI MACD stochastic, it, no matter what it is, somebody likes one or more, or a combination.
They like Ballinger Bands. They like this or that who knows?. And all of those are our calculators. With time, lag indicator or time lag data coming into them. And then presenting what happened in the past, trying to predict what's happening in the future. It is a it is not the raw data, like I said, it's calculated.
And so you're getting. A result that is an analysis or some way of looking at the past. You're not looking at today in the present, what is happening now and what is likely to happen in the future using indicators, whether they're oscillators or moving averages or anything like that to try to predict market direction is like trying to drive while looking in the rear view.
That's exactly what it's like. It's impossible. And this is primarily the reason why people that rely on this technical analysis, I'm going to say it mumbo-jumbo that they fail. They fail to understand this. They, there has been this body of supposedly experts and gurus and people with gravitas that have convinced a lot of other people that somehow this stuff.
Has relevance and it can help you predict the future. This is all part of the broker narrative, and I'll do a separate video on that. I talk about it incessantly. I talk about it all the time. This is a. A mastermind level conspiracy that was originally created by and still to this day, maintained by the brokers for the sole purpose of getting you to create transactions for the benefit.
Technical analysis is a scam. Now let me back up a little bit. We were talking about volume profile. I got lost in the weeds again. Every time. I say technical analysis, I go apoplectic, but a volume profile is not an indicator. A lot of people refer to it as an indicator. It is no more an indicator than the bar chart is an indicator, from a very technical, purist point of view, you can say everything's an indicator, right?
Screw you. Volume profile is more about the data, the raw data coming from the exchange, then bar charts are yep. I said it. I said it because it's true. And that's because bar charts contain two of the three pieces of information that come from the exchange. You have price times. And volume of the three pieces I hesitated on the volume because bar charts don't include volume unless you include it as a separate indicator and volume profile includes all three price time and volume.
Of course, it's centric on volume. Why is it the bar charts don't even include volume in their fashioning? Again, all part of the broken arrow. Use to confuse you and give you incomplete information. When in fact volume at price is the most significant piece of information that you can have in the market to determine where the market finds value and where it doesn't find value.
